Radiation visualisation is an important feature of work that has been carried out at Halden VR Centre to support design, outage, training, and decommissioning activities. Software developed at HVRC can be used to combine data visualisation and virtual reality techniques in an effective manner in order to visualise a wide range of phenomenon, such as temperate, radiation, dose-rate, and pressure levels.
The techniques used by Halden VR Centre can be used on desktop and 3D display sysems as well as in the context of augmented reality systems, which enable the user to see otherwise invisible phenomenon.
