HVRC VRdose(r) Release Notes ---------------------------- WELCOME TO HVRC VRdose ---------------------- The HVRC VRdose system comprises of a pair of tools: 1) VRdose Planner: A tool for simulating work scenarios, with radiation visualisation and dose-rate charts for scenario participants 2) VRdose Briefer: A tool for playback of scenarios created using the VRdose Planner, for training/briefing purposes We hope that you will enjoy using this software and that you will find it useful for your work. This document provides complementary or late-breaking information to supplement this release. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS ------------------- HVRC VRdose can be installed and run on 64-bit Windows 8/10. The minimum recommended requirements for the system are: * Intel Core i5 x64 processor or similar * 6GB RAM * Microsoft Windows 8 64-bit * 3D Graphics accelerator card with OpenGL 3.3 support * A three-button mouse (or a two-button mouse with scroll-wheel "button") The software can sometimes be used on a less powerful hardware however system performance will not be optimal. Our recommended requirements for the system are: * Intel Core i7 x64 processor or similar * 8GB+ RAM * Microsoft Windows 10 64-bit * ATI or nVidia 3D Graphics accelerator with OpenGL 4.2 support * A three-button mouse (or a two-button mouse with scroll-wheel "button") Windows XP, 7 and Vista is no longer supported by us. HVRC VRdose can be supplied with a special agreement for some desktop versions of 64-bit Linux and macOS. Please contact VRdose Support for more information. INSTALLATION ------------ Important: See System Requirements above before installing. The installer called "HVRCVRdoseInstaller-2.2.2.exe" installs the HVRC VRdose software. Double-click on the installer and follow the instructions. DOCUMENTATION ------------- Online help can be found in the Help menu of the HVRC VRdose applications.
